Worked with Fujitsu on server-side C++/STL (Sun Sparc/Solaris) and client-side Visual C++/MFC/STL (Windows NT/2000/XP) development for secure messaging systems. This included performing code changes and enhancements to the various Military Message Handling System (MMHS) components. These components were assorted C++ applications that provided the necessary extensions to the X.400 standard to enable the system as a whole to act as a MMHS, compliant to NATO STANAG 4406 standard.
Provided them with intuitive windows applications to enhance the use of some of their military messaging products including the Defence Information Infrastructure (Future) (DII-F) project.
Two of these aplications were the Directory Assistant and the AMR Message Centre. Directory Assistant This provided an intuitive and safe interface to an X.500 directory. It ensured data integrity was maintained whilst enabling users to quickly and easily update the X.500 directory. Communication to an X.500 directory was via LDAP (both non-SSL and SSL).

AMR Message Centre This application enabled messages to be monitored as they travel through certain parts of the Messaging system. It allowed the user to maintain various aspects of the system, and view message information. This was a client application that communicated to a server process using a bespoke TCP/IP protocol.
