Enterprise Records Management System Worked at a Ministry of Defence site in London on the implementation of an Enterprise Content Management System (ECMS) using OpenText. Specifically the work involved customising the out-of-the-box OpenText product in order to ensure the end solution complied with the client's current business practices. Developed various Windows 2003/2008 server-side and Windows XP client-side C++/ .NET/ C# DLLs and applications as well as Microsoft Outlook add-ins, ASP.NET Web Services, C# Windows Services, and COM components. Also developed solutions for interfacing to Oracle 10g, existing bespoke Messaging (X.400) components and legacy system components. Implemented OScript customisations to OpenText using Livelink Builder. Defined new Oracle database tables for these customisations to write to, and a subsequent C# Windows Service application for reading and processing the data within these tables
Used Visual Studio 2008, .NET 3.5 Framework, WCF, embedded SQL, XML. Configured IIS. Designed in UML using Enterprise Architect. Configuration control using Subversion. Created MSI install packages for server and client deployment. Involved in full development lifecycle – design, implementation, test, integration, deployment and support within an Agile (Scrum) and Test Driven (TDD) environment.
